SERVICE CENTER METALS
Project Location: Prince George, Virginia
KBS, Inc.
The Design:
Service Center Metals (SCM) required a new expansion to their existing facility in Prince George, Virginia. The expansion includes an enclosed extrusion of 90,000 sq ft, recessed truck docks, and a 9,000 sq ft exterior covered area to meet their growing manufacturing needs.
HODGE provided the structural, mechanical and electrical engineering for the expansion.

KAWASAKI
Project Location: Morristown, Tennessee

The Design:
Kawasaki expanded their existing facility by 22,000 sq ft for the addition of 9 aluminum casting machines. They later purchased the 60,000 sq ft Mizuno Corporation and added another 45,000 sq ft. This expansion of 127,000 square feet increased their total storage and manufacturing capabilities.
HODGE provided the structural, mechanical and electrical engineering for the structures.

FICOSA
Project Location: Cookeville, Tennessee

The Design:
Ficosa is a 264,646 square foot factory that produces automotive parts and is the main automobile mirror facility for Ficosa in North America. HODGE Engineering’s design considerations included internal overhead cranes, specialty high hazard flammable storage rooms, and underground concrete vaults.
HODGE provided the process engineering for the installation of the factory equipment, including four aluminum casting machines and over forty injection molding machines with assembly and clean room areas. The three-pass paint system was the last crucial step in the process.

SCAPA
Project Location: Knoxville, Tennessee

The Design:
SCAPA Healthcare is a 152,000 square foot factory that manufactures non-stick medical dressing packs as well as other hospital related products. The facility houses management offices, two production areas and three clean rooms with two levels of particulate filtration. HODGE Engineering provided the initial professional design consulting services for the building as well as further Process Machinery Installation Design.

Aspire Inspiration Park
Project Location: Clinton, Tennessee
The Design:
The Hollingsworth Companies has partnered with the Port design company to master plan the proposed Aspire Inspiration Park- a 450-acre park bordering the Clinch River and a large track of TVA open land. HEC is honored to be a part of the team, along with McCarty Holsaple McCarty and S&ME, Inc.

FIRST WATCH
Project Location: Fountain City, Johnson City, and Chattanooga, Tennessee
The Design:
Design Innovation Architects, Inc. teamed up with HODGE Engineering Company to provide the architectural and MEP engineering design for three café theme restaurants by First Watch Restaurants, Inc. A total of 7,150 square feet were renovated through the course of the projects.

SITEL
Project Location: Knoxville, Tennessee + Spartinburg, South Carolina
The Design:
HODGE Engineering provided design services for two Sitel call center facilities, a worldwide provider for customer care call centers. A two story office complex in West Knoxville was renovated with approximately 400 new customer care positions, and an abandoned grocery store was renovated in Spartanburg, SC. Both call Centers were designed with air conditioned IT rooms, backup generators and fiber service for the telephone system.
